The other day, I bought the album "All Things Bright and Beautiful" by Owl City. I had a few other songs of the album, but i bought all of it :) So here we go!
1.) The Real World.
This is one of my favorites. The point of the song is Adam's saying 'The Real World' is pretty good, but he doesn't want to live there. It's funny and I had it stuck in my head for a LLOONNGG time. I was humming it all day around my house.
2.) Deer In the Headlights
I watched the music video before I bought the album and I ended up laughing hystarically at the part where the girl turns into a weird turban guy. I thought it was cool when the dinosouar chased him in the car. Hahaha. Overall, it's a really good song and it has a good beat.
3.) Angels
When I first listened to this song, I was really tired and when he yells, "WAKE ME IF YOU'RE OUT THERE!" I threw a pillow at my iPod. :) Owl City does things to me. I like it, it's one of my favorites (I can't pick one!)
4.) Dream's Don't Turn To Dust
Yay! I really like this one. My dad wants me to play the violin and this is one of the songs I would want to know how to play, even if the violin part is about seven seconts long. It has a good message too, but some dreams I would want to turn to dust like the one where Pokemon take over Japan . . .
5.) Honey And The Bee
This one's so cute! There's a part with the girl who sang in the Saltwater Room (I think, IDK). It's really tecno-like and it's good. I like it. It's something about love or something but again I don't know anything about love. XD
6.) Kamikaze
I love how this one's kind of like a jungle thing. The first time I listened to it the first thing that popped into my mind was 'George of the Jungle' that was on Disney Channel when I was little. It's got a really good beat and it's a really good song.
7.) January 28, 1986
It's president Kennedy speech after 'The Challenger' was not a sucess. I think it's good. It's 0:38 seconts long and Adam's not in it except when he hums in the backround. You have to listen to the song 'Galaxies' right after it because its like an intro for the song.
8.) Galaxies
This is one of the songs I bought before I bought the album. This song happens to be my star gazing song. I always run outside when the stars are out with my star map and try to pick out the constilations. NERDS FOREVER!
9.) Hospital Flowers
Aww! :'( This song is sad. It's about being in the car crash of the decade. Then he goes to the hospital and such. Personaly this song isen't one of my favorites basically because it's sad and kind of depressing. I just don't like sad things like that.
10.) Alligator Sky (feat. Shawn Chrystopher)
THIS SONG HAS RAP IN IT!!! Just a warning. There is a version without the rap in it but it only changes the part where the rap is in it. It's pretty good and the music video's cool.
11.) The Yatch Club
This one has the random girl singing in the backround again. I really would want to know what her name is. It's about romance and it's pretty funny and it's cute. I love it, it's recomended. It really sounds like Owl City, but all of it does.
12.) Plant Life
HAUNTED HOUSE SONG!!! This is one of my favorites too! It's about a haunted house and he wants plant life to grow so he won't feel dead. It talks about ghosts too. It's good and this has to be one of my all time favorite sogns.
13.) How I Became The Sea
Title says all :) Oh snap this is a blog not YouTube! Haha just kidding. This song is really good. I go to sleep at night to this song. It's kinda soothing to me for some odd reason. Just don't ask, well what the heck I don't care. I LOVE COMMENTS.
14.) Alligator Sky
NO RAP VERSION! This is one of my favorites. I love the chorus. You should go and check it out! I bought the rap version before I bought the album so when I listened to this song I was all like, "HUZZAH! NO RAP!" (I really hate rap in general, no offence Adam.)
SO this is a epic album. I really like how it talkes a lot about how AMAZING space is. We're studying space right now and ironically, my science teacher listens to Owl City. She's not the best teacher, but I night like her as a person. Just not a teacher.
